Metropolitan Hotel is a very modern, tastefully fitted and well located hotel in Bologna. We stayed there in with our 10 year old daughter. Every attraction, shopping, markets and a great choice of restaurants is in walking distance. We recommend parking in the parking lot...Più

Mi sono piaciuti: Sehr freundlich geführtes, sauberes Hotel. Obwohl es mitten in der Stadt liegt, war unser Zimmer sehr ruhig und wir haben auf den guten Betten bestens geschlafen. Das Frühstück war völlig in Ordnung - besonders gut hat uns gefallen, dass man Cappuccinos und Kakaos zum Frühstück nicht extra zahlen musste (zusätzlich konnte man sich noch weiteren Filterkaffee am Buffet holen). Insgesamt waren wir zufrieden.
Non mi sono piaciuti: Man kann nicht direkt mit dem Auto vor das Hotel und muss sich daher mit der Parksituation vorab gut auseinandersetzen. Die Zimmer sind klein und eine Aussicht sollte man auch nicht erwarten.
Mi sono piaciuti: Breakfast was included in the cost of the accommodation and was a delight with little dishes of sliced fruit, yoghurts, rolls, tiny slices of pancake or waffle with syrup, and delicious bite size patisserie or cake beautifully presented. There was also a hot plate of scrambled eggs and the usual juices, cereals and dried fruits.
Hotel also has a roof garden where you can enjoy a cool beer or glass of wine whilst watching the sunset over stunning views of Bologna and the hills beyond.
Non mi sono piaciuti: The bathroom is a bit on the small side but perfectly adequate. The bedroom had ample space with a minimalist, even industrial design although a waste bin would have been useful.

Mi sono piaciuti: Large room (disabled access, so bigger all round) ask for 108. Nice roof terrace with bar (drinks expensive though). Very nice breakfast provided with coffee made to order and large continental style selection. Eggs also provided. Pleasant staff and good location for centro storico area.

Mi sono piaciuti: Rooms were comfortable (except A/C). Great rooftop deck for apertivi. Friendly staff at desk. Attractive hotel. Good price to value ratio.
Non mi sono piaciuti: It was hot and muggy in Bologna, and the A/C in the lobby was as if non-existent. A/C in room was better, but not ideal. Breakfast was just okay and weird -- everything was on these little tiny plates and the staff kept running back and forth to fill them but they were out of so many things -- it was like the illusion of a well-stocked breakfast with little there and an unnecessarily overworked staff. (e.g., how can you not have mortadella or prosciutto in Bologna?) Location is okay -- a little out of the center, but not inconvenient.
