This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this hotel and it is a joy to do so, this time we were in the Olive garden, what a great room and so big, Italy offers small rooms but this is a great place to stay and its in the center of every thing. I will be back. DG
The hotel is located near the city centre. The staff was incredibly helpful and we got upgraded to an apartment (the hotel also has a building with apartments) when it turned out our room had to twin beds instead of one double. Definitely recommend this hotel!
One of the best hotels in bologna, centrally located, very clean and modern. Breakfast was simply great. Staff very helpful and cordial. Our stay was absolutely fantastic, thanks to always very helpful staff. Deserves the 5 stars completely :) I would definitely recommend to anyone that wants to see the city on foot without any hassles.
We (husband and wife in fifties) have just returned from an excellent 4 night stay in the Metropolitan Hotel. This stylish 3 star hotel performs well above it's rating. It's been tastefully updated, our room was quiet and spotlessly clean, the staff were excellent and the breakfast is fabulous. The location can't be beaten as it's easy walking to all...
The hotel staff are very welcoming and helpful. The room had excellent A/C and a good hot shower as well as Sky TV. Sleep quality was excellent. The hotel is also perfectly situated just a 10 minute walk from the station and aerobus stop and ten minutes the other way to tourist attractions, but is in a quiet street. I have no hesitation in recommending the Metropolitan.
The hotel is very well situated, off the main road and almost directly opposite the Aerobus stop for visitors arriving from the airport, but within 5 minutes walk of the Piazza Maggiore and a similar walking distance to a good variety of restaurants and shops. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, the room fine with quite a firm bed and also had tea/coffee making facilities (not listed in amenities but very useful nonetheless). Our room was on the second floor and faced on to the street, and there was some noise with the windows open in the evenings, but no more than would be expected from a city-centre location in the week: sleeping was never a problem. There was an internal courtyard accessible from the second floor which seemed to be very quiet. The staff were pleasant and helpful, both at reception and in the breakfast room, and the breakfast had a good choice, although the breakfast room could get quite busy at times. Overall, a very pleasant hotel in a good location.Mi sono piaciuti: Location, presentation of breakfast
Non mi sono piaciuti: Tiny lift, no TV channel info in room (but these were minor issues)[extra]Quiet street off main road in city centre. Easy walking distance to main sights and station.[/extra]
My friend and I returned to Bologna to spend a long weekend where we were students 20 years earlier. We explained this to the manager in enthusiastic Italian who welcomed us home! This charm extended to the rooms, decor and breakfast. The location is perfect for a stroll around the centre within a stones throw of several bars, ice cream parlours and the local market. Drinking a real coffee with my feet clad in new sandals it really did feel like home.Mi sono piaciuti: Staff
Non mi sono piaciuti: Walls a bit thin[extra]Super central[/extra]
Had a great stay at the Metropolitan hotel in June. Staff from check in we're efficient, friendly and informative. The location was superb as it was within walking distance of the main tourist sites and easily reached from the station. Breakfast was fresh, had good variety and plentiful. The room was immaculate and well stocked.. We were very happy.
super !!
Un trés bon accueil avec une vraie volonté de simplifier les démarches, une chambre confortable, la salle de bain propre...
