Good choice of hotel which I am happy to recommend

It is an easy journey to/from airport, both taxi fares under 20 euros. Hotel is well located with main square etc just a 5 minute stroll away. We asked for, and got, a quiet room. Reasonable size and facilities. Everything worked. Excellent desk folk and always helpful. Good breakfast with marvellous coffee! We had only four days and on that basis I felt one day was about right for Bologna itself especially as we returned each night - decent local restaurants. The train station is 10 - 15 minutes easy stroll away but I would recommend buying tickets night before if possible. We went out on day trips to Ferrara (a pretty small town but maximum one day and with a car then maybe less), to Ravenna (sadly in the rain as though the mosaics are truly wonderful I should have loved to see them sparkling on a sunny day. Admittedly less time available as the train journey was 1hour 20 minutes but I would have been happy to spend a little more time in Ravenna armed now with some knowledge) and then to Verona which we loved. This being a spur of moment trip we had done no research and rather longer time would have been a good idea. Serendipity gave us a memorable, and pretty cheap lunch by the river. The train service is very cheap by English standards, and quite reliable. We paid more to go to Verona to gain the benefit of a non stop train, journey time 50 minutes but still well worth while.Mi sono piaciuti: Good location and room, excellent desk staff, good breakfast with great coffee

soggiornato qualche tempo fa causa lavoro per nota azienda di abbigliamento con negozio fronte hotel , solo ora posso lasciare una recensione, l'hotel è centralissimo anche se si trova in un vicoletto, struttura accogliente e pulitissima, la camera era spaziosa e confortevole, la persona ( un signore ,non ricordo il nome ) che mi ha accolto all'arrivo è stata gentilissima,...

Very Nice!

Nice hotel, with clean rooms, excellent reception desk, and ac and elevator. Close to town center and train station! Stayed there in June when temperatures were 95 degrees, so the air conditioning was a plus!

Very accomodating

They made me feel very welcome and I found the manager Claudio to be very helpful when I needed some special consideration. I wanted to experience the urban aspects of Bologna and the Hotel Metropolitan is perfectly situated for walking around town and public transportation.

Eccellente hotel in un punto strategico

Io lavoro a Bologna da moltissimi anni pur non abitando in questa città. Normalmente rimango a Bologna 4 giorni a settimana. Avere un hotel di un certo livello è fondamentale perché diventa la mia seconda casa. Questo hotel ha circa 40 stanze e sono tutte differenti l’una dall’altra, la qualità è sempre la stessa, alta. Sono stanze comode e funzionali....

En pärla mitt i Bolognas historiska centrum!
