We only stayed one night in Bologna - en route for the airport - but we were heartily glad that we decided to stay at the Hotel Touring. It is a beautiful place tucked away in a quiet sidestreet not far from the Basilica di San Domenico and just off the internal ring road. The good things about the hotel...
A good hotel in the best part of Bologna. The food market and general areas which are good for eating are very nearby. Hotel staff very helpful. Room was more average - a bit small and scruffy round the edges, but i think we paid a good price for it. Breakfast very good.
A lovely hotel with professional staff and still a very personal homely feel. It is away from the tourist crowds but still within reach of the center. I received a very warm welcome from Elena at the reception when I arrived, and a smiling greeting every morning! The rooftop terrace is the huge cherry on the cake.
