Peaceful and relaxing

A quiet little hotel close to the beach and a sleepy little town with a handful of traditional Sardinian restaurants. If you want nightlife this is not the place for you but for a chilled out week of relaxing, sunbathing and enjoying the local food, it was perfect.

Quiet but plesant

This is a fairly typical med resort apartment complex - studios have a kitchenette, table and chairs, decent sized bed and balcony/verandah. Positives: - Clean - New - Great location - close to beach and shops - Nice pool, often very quiet - Very Italian Negatives - Sometimes too quiet - no bar at all in the evening so even one drink after dinner requires forward planning! The bar was sporadically stocked and run the rest of the time - 100 euro deposit on arrival - Staff friendliness was patchy - some seemed very impatient and I think they would have preferred to have only Italian guests NOTE: - Take a phrase book - one girl speaks halting English but you will need to check in, check out, sort out air conditioning etc. in Italian. Very little English spoken in Villasimius, which is a resort mainly catering to Italian family groups and is thus very friendly and pleasant.

Excellent holiday!

This is a great simple hotel to stay at. We were left to our own devises and had the beach in a 15 min walking distance, and the town centre 10 min distance. Was so peaceful and clean in the hotel. Excellent would recomend it to anyone and will be going back again!

Excellent value for money

The self-catering accommodation was very clean and everything provided was of a good standard. I had taken a travel kettle having read a review saying no kettle was supplied so was prepared for that eventuality. However, we were disappointed that we couldn't get rolls or snacks for lunch and this could have been because it was the end of the season but the menus showing availability were on the tables. My only other disappointment was that the pool did not appear to be cleaned regularly. However, everywhere else in the hotel was very clean.

Jederzeit wieder

Es ist das richtige Hotel für alle die einen ungezwungenen Urlaub machen wollen. Auch die Nähe zum Simius Strand, der wirklich super schön ist, hat uns gut gefallen.

An excellent stay in an excellent place!

We arrived at Cagliari Elmas Airport on a sunday, picked up a hire car (Reccomended if you want to do some sight seeing) and made our way to Villasimmius to find Palm Village. The drive was interesting, once out of Cagliari and the slightly run down areas of the city, a long mountainous road takes you all the way to Villasimius where we found a well sign posted Palm Village. We were greeted by a polite staff with varying language skills between them, our room was very pleasant with all we needed and a 1st floor terrace that looked over the beach and hills in distance. Not a lot is open on a Sunday so we decided to sort our things in the room then have a walk and find our bearings, we walked to the beach and found Palm Villages private beach, not really private, just an area of the beach with beach loungers that only the hotel guests could use. The beach is very nice, clean and not crowded during september while we were there. Because we went at the end of season the hotel packed away the sun loungers on the 30/31 sept for cleaning which we wern't informed about and were a little annoyed at, this was our only gripe for the entire holiday. Villasimius is a nice little tourist town with loads of places to eat and drink, also there are lots of tourist shops to buy plenty of gifts and goodies. In all we had an excellent stay at very good value for money in comparison to other resorts in Sardinia. We would happily recommend a holiday here to anyone.

Our Stay At Villasimius' Palm Village

Although it was an off season holiday, we expected to find that the hotel would be clean. The swimming pool was dirty, algae on the bottom and leaves floating on the surface although the pool wasn't used by any body, you could tell that the water wasn't being treated because it wasn't clear. The shower in our room was broken, in as much that the shower head had to be held while showering. The room was fine on arrival, however there was no change of bedding or towels during our stay, we had to purchase toilet paper. The good side was that the beach was such a short walk from the hotel and once you got there you are in for a treat as it was fabulous.
