Beautiful part of the world

We booked this hotel based on the reviews of others and wernt disappointed at all. Right from the first day the staff were extremely helpful and although our Italian was poor to say the least they were happy to talk in English and were very clear and very helpful. The room itself was ideal for us and had a lovely spacious shower/toilet. There are facilities for you to cook and all the utensils are supplied, but we ate out every night so didnt use them. The pool area was lovely and although the steps into the pool were a little rickety, overall a lovely little area. The location of the hotel was ideal, its a 10 min walk to the beach and about the same into the very pretty town of Villasimius. The beach was outstanding and the hotel provides you with a free beach towel, sunbed and parasol, which is a bonus. Try and explore the beach around the corner 'Notteri' absolutely stunning area with the wild flamingos behind too!! We hired a car whilst there to explore a little more, and about 20 mins eastwards there is a beautiful beach called 'Cala Pira'. I would recommend this as a must see if you are a beach lover, the sand is white and the water the clearest this side of the caribbean!! Overall a beautiful island with something for every taste, we only went for 5 days but will definitely be going again next year for 2 weeks. This time of year is ideal also if you want a quiet break away as most of the tourists have gone home!!

second time there and still love it.

Stayed at Palm Village 09/2010 for the second time. our second visit was as relaxing and pleasant as the first time. This time we invited our friends too. They also fell in love with the place. The village is easy access, great facilities , beaches around Villasimius far the best.Clear water , suitable for kids too. Palm village staff cant help you enough. This year my brother in law will take his family there and we are going again in september. the only downside:beach close in september. we think the beach facilities should be there as long as the hotel is open.

I really enjoyed staying in Sardinia and really loved Palm Village. We were on our honeymoon and the place was perfect for us. We only had one complaint, the bed was very uncomfortable but aside from this the room was wonderful and the location was perfect.

Don't tell everyone!!

As a couple we found Palm Village after some considerable searching on the net and it had some very good reviews. We were expecting that it might be disappointing when we actually arrived, but in fact it was better than we expected. The room was perfectly clean on arrival and although we arrived early we were allowed to check in immediately. The room had a nice balcony looking out to sea and the place was pretty conveniently located near to the beach. The whole place was very pleasant and mostly quiet, except for one night when we had a noisy couple next door! Cooking utensils come with the room so you can easily prepare meals for yourself and eat on the balcony if desired. We were there at the end of May and the weather was a bit cool and windy and the sea not really warm enough for swimming. The only gripe with the Palm Village experience was the pool which was too shallow and only suitable for children. Apart from that, highly recommended all round!

Great base for a beach holiday in Villasimius

We spent a week in Villasimius for a beach holiday and to attend a wedding. The room was on the small side but perfectly adequate for two of us. Had we had a third person in the room using the pull out bed, it would have been too cramped, in my opinion. The balcony to the room however was huge - almost the same size as the room and it overlooked the pool area which was a bonus. It was nice to be able to lounge by the pool and be able to pop back to our room to get drinks and food without a long walk. The hotel is perfectly located a ten minute walk from town and a ten minute walk from Notteri beach, where the hotel its own private section. The kitchenette in the room is good for storing chilled produce and drinks, which meant that we did not have to spend a fortune on drinks and food during the day time. I do not think that you could cook anything other than a very basic meal in the room, given that there is only a two ring hob to use, which we used to make coffee in the morning and boiled eggs. There is a barbecue area which we didn't end up using, but looked terrific. There are butchers and supermarkets in town where you can get meat. For families on a budget, this is a great idea. The hotel was a great base for exploring the surrounding area and good value for money. If I return to Villasimius in the future, I would stay at the Palm Village again.Mi sono piaciuti: The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Non mi sono piaciuti: The breakfast buffet was fairly basic and not especially tempting.[extra]There are beautiful beaches to visit and relax on. The flamingos at Porto Giunco are a highlight.[/extra]

Our second stay

This hotel is great for couples and families with children. The hotel has a swimming pool, and it offers also facilities in the near beach of Villasimius (included in the price) Restaurants in the area have delicious typical and international dishes with a great variety of Sardinian wines. Don't miss the restaurants "Le Anfore" and "Su Forreddu" in Villasimius and "Agriturismo Sa Marighedda" in Castidas. Visit the Archeological Museum of Villasimius; it offers interesting artifacts of history from Iron Age, Phoenicians, Carthaginians and Romans until Spain in 1600. We had a great experience and we will be there again!Mi sono piaciuti: The staff is very nice and helpful, the hotel is new, bathrooms are large, the surrounding nature is gorgeous. It provides free parking
Non mi sono piaciuti: No complain at all, maybe Wi-Fi should be upgraded; actually it works well in the cafeteria and in some adjacent areas[extra]The hotel is located near the town and near the beautiful sandy beaches of Villasimius and Costa Rey. Local people are friendly and very polite.[/extra]

Perfect beach holiday

New, apartment style hotel with kitchenettes and large balconies. Five minutes walk to a beautiful beach. Very friendly staff. Villasimius was very relaxed, in late September, but perfect for hanging out on the beach and swimming all day long.
