Good value for money

For a budget break to Sardinia The Palm Village is excellent. Couple of tips though - the bar shuts at 8pm so make sure you have some drinks/food in your room!! They also ask for a cash deposit on check-in so allow extra holiday money for that. There are housemartins nesting in the balconies which is lovely to watch but means the hotel puts an indoor cover over the pool to keep it clean. Fine to swim in but can get stuffy. Rooms are clean and light, area is quiet and residential and it's a 10 minute walk to the nearest bars and restarants.

perfect for a long stay holiday

The hotel is very simple but has absolutely everything you need. It's all about accomodation. It's never over the top and surprises by its calm and quiet. The rooms are standard but very clean. They all have balconies overlooking either the pool or the mountains. The minimal staff service is a bonus as they seem to want to respect your space and therefore you are left to enjoy your apartment and your holiday on your own.

An excellent base from which to explore Southern Sardinia

I booked this apartment hotel as a budget getaway but we were very impressed with our room and the hotel in general. Our room was clean and comfortable, with all the kitchen equipment you could need and a lovely little terrace. It was also pretty quiet (but it was end of Sep) As an earlier reviewer said, the deposit of 100 euros is needed in cash when you check in. There are cash points in the town - about 10/15 walk away. We drove from Cagliari, which is a straight-forward drive but beware, the first sign you will see for Palm Village tells you that it is still 9.6km away! We didn't use the pool (although it looked fine) because the beaches were so good. The private beach is a 10/15 minute walk (in the other direction to the town!) but other local beaches are worth visiting too.

Perfect beach holiday

New, apartment style hotel with kitchenettes and large balconies. Five minutes walk to a beautiful beach. Very friendly staff. Villasimius was very relaxed, in late September, but perfect for hanging out on the beach and swimming all day long.

Nice place for a peaceful holiday

The hotel was very much as I expected from reading other customer reviews. It's very conveniently placed in walking distance of the town and a very beautiful beach. The reception and bar staff at the hotel were very nice. The town was quite quiet when we stayed (April)and the only thing I would point out to potential visitors is that eating out was a bit of an issue. Very few restaurants had English menus which can be a problem, unless you have a phrase book to hand. The opening/closing times of shops in the town was a bit haphazard too! My advice would be if you see something you like in a shop when it's open, buy it then!
